MFC Sports will be coming to the Clones AC Training night at the Peacelink on Tues Oct 24th to take orders for club gear from 6pm.  Orders taken on the night must be accompanied by a 50% deposit on total purchase, with the balance payable on collection night.

It is roughly a 1hr 45 min journey to Stranorlar. The Finn Valley Centre  is off to your left coming into Stranorlar from Strabane/Lifford direction. Car Park facilities are limited and most cars will be parked on the roadside. Note distances are longer than at County level. Despite maybe not having a club team our athletes will count on County teams where there are 6 to score.

County Even Age XC Championships
Sun 8th Oct – Kilmore, Scotstown – 11am
 
The first race of the new Cross Country season takes place this Sunday 8th October at the Scotstown GAA Traning Pitches which are on the roadside between Scotstown and Ballinode. All athletes are asked to turn out with races for the age groups below. Please note the earlier starting time of 11am.

Gear: In Cross Country all athletes would preferably need Spikes which can be purchased in Mc Dermott Sports which is situated up the side Dunnes Stores in Monaghan. There are spikes from Size 3 up available. For the shoes for Cross Country you will need 9mm spikes but if purchasing also get a set of 5mm spikes which are needed when you race on the track like at the Peace Link. Athletes for races are to run in shorts and club t shirt or vest, with track suit to warm up in and a rain jacket. Always bring a change of clothes as you never know what conditions are going to be like.
 
All athletes are asked to be at the Scotstown Training Pitches which is situated between Scotstown and Ballinode at 10:30 for warm up with the Girls U10 race off at 11am Sharp.
