County Even Age XC Championships
Sunday 17th Nov - Lindens Field, Crossmaglen Rd, Carrickmacross - NOON The Second of the County Cross Country Championships takes place on Sunday 17th November at Lindens Field, Crosmaglen Rd, Carrickmacross. B & G U9 (Born 2011/12) 600m B & G U11 (Born 2009/10) 1000m B & G U13 (Born 2007/08) 1500m G U15 (Born 2005/06) 1500m B U 15 (Born 2005/04) 2000m G U17 (Born 2003/04) 2000m B U17 (Born 2003/04) 3000m Inter & Masters Women 3000m Inter Men & Masters Men 5000m Gear: In Cross Country all athletes would preferably need Spikes. Athletes for races are to run in shorts and club t shirt or vest, with track suit to warm up in and a rain jacket. Please ensure all athletes bring a change of clothes and a pair of old trainers to walk the course. All athletes are asked to report to the club gazebo be at the venue at 11:15 for warm up with the Girls U9 race off at NOON Entry Fee is €3 per athlete to be paid on day Fee is €5 Euro if travelling on Bus plus entry There is strictly NO PARKING at venue. Car Parking is at ACES running track in Carrickmacross. If you are heading out the OLD Dublin rd from the Carrick town centre after approximately 1.5 miles, LIDL is on your left. Turn here, Lidl will still be on your left and travel for 200m before turning right and the track is in front of you a further 200m down the road. For those driving, drop off athletes at venue and drive back to the Aces track. Conlon’s Bus will leave ACES Track at 11.40 sharp, to take spectators and Senior athletes out to venue DIRECTIONS to Lindens Field. When you are approaching Carrickmacross from the Monaghan direction, close to the end of the straight on the main road there is a sign for Longfield Etra on the left turn off here and follow that road until you get to a crossroads turn left you follow this road for about 2-3 miles and having gone around a bad corner the field where the race takes place in 300m further on the left handside. Parking for all vehicles is in the field.
